Protect Your Daily Routine

Personal Articles Coverage

You have valuable items that you use every day, such as electronics, clothes and jewelry. These can be quite expensive, and they are not covered under most insurance plans. Thus, we have come up with a protection plan with small monthly premiums to cover large personal losses.

What’s Covered Under Personal Articles Insurance?

Almost anything you own can be included in your Personal Articles coverage. The below are only some examples:

  • Photography equipment
  • Phones
  • Computers
  • Antiques
  • High-end rugs
  • Music equipment
  • Jewelry
  • Medical devices

Further Protection for High-End Belongings

Scheduled Personal Property coverage is an additional option for you if you have expensive items that exceed the limit of your policy. For example, if you have a very high-end computer worth $3,000 and your policy only covers up to $1,000, you should consider purchasing this coverage.

How Losses Are Calculated

Personal Articles insurance plans can replace your losses using two methods: replacement cost or actual cash value:

Replacement Cost (RC)

RC means we will replace your item with a new one of similar quality and style without factoring in depreciation.

Actual Cash Value (ACV)

ACV means we would reimburse you for the amount you would get if you were to sell your used item.

Since the replacement costs under the ACV method are lower, your premium would be lower as well.

Your Fletcher Insurance rep can help you determine the right coverage plan for you after going over your belongings and comparing the policy limits to the costs of those belongings.
